MPIO FY800Once in awhile I was given the opportunity to review some of the newest gadget in the market today. In-front of me right now is the FY800 mp3 player from Quadtron Technologies, Inc. MPIO products distributor in the Philippines. FY800 is almost the size of cigarette lighter yet so slim and stylish. It has a well-placed control keys with a red center-button for FM and voice recording. An easy-to-use interface with a white back-light, yes it’s not color-coated my dear readers. FY800 maybe short of the intuitiveness and glamour of the leading brands however, it is backed with a noticeably good sound. It won’t blow your ear even on full-volume. It manages to eliminate noise on busy hours as it plays up to fifteen (15) hours of music. If you’re tired of same old collection a press of a button for a few seconds will take you on air with built-in FM tuner. FY800 supports multiple music formats. It is also equipped with Voice-Operated Recording (VOR), which automatically activates and deactivates recording function by selecting noise level.

The FY800 is compatible in both Mac and Windows and can be used as storage device with up to 2GB of internal memory and the ability to add more via SD card slot. If you’re familiar with your computer, you already know how to manage and organize the songs in your FY800 – the file management concept follows that of a computer folder management. The FY800 lets you select or browse your collection while your song is playing. This and much more, in a sleek, slim black body, makes FY800 a true digital masterpiece.
